Structure updates for ‘24-’25 school year:
In previous years, the district competition was able to accommodate all of our students. However, due to the program's expansion in our district, each school is now limited to two teams of six students (12 students total). Based on our experience over the past few years, we will be adjusting our club structure to adapt to these changes while still including as many students from Ivy Stockwell as possible.
September - February (32 students)
9/30, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, 12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 1/13, 1/27
Each week, students work in groups to complete challenges that help them learn programming and build LEGO robots for competition. For each challenge we will use a rubric with clear and objective criteria, similar to what they will encounter in the competition, to provide feedback and guide the selection of our final team.
On January 27, we will celebrate all the students who participated and announce the selection of our final teams.
February - April (12 Students)
2/3, 2/10, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7, 4/14, 4/21
Students have access to the competition mat and challenges, where they will build and program their final robot for the competition.
